Sue has been a pioneer in Lubbesthorpe since the very first foundations were laid for the new houses in 2016. Initially employed by Churches Together in Leicestershire for six years, Sue went on to establish Lubbesthorpe Alive as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to focus on community development work with local residents. She now works part-time with both Lubbesthorpe Alive and Lubbesthorpe Christians Together, which was formed in early 2023.
An accredited Baptist Minister with a passion for ecumenism and community, Sue has 16 years of experience in community engagement. She believes that at the heart of Christianity is a God who loves community, people, and the world, and encourages us to do the same.
Sue is also our Designated Person for Safeguarding.

Dave is married to Sue and has been volunteering with many activities at Lubbesthorpe since Sue arrived on site and the building of the estate first started. It has been a delight to see how the community has evolved in that time and to get to know so many people individually. Dave is present at many of the LCT activities and particularly enjoys the adopted role of Pizza chef.
A long retired civil servant who lived and worked in and around North London and Hertfordshire before moving to Lubbesthorpe in 2018. He and his wife have felt very at home here ever since. Having been an active Christian for over 50 years LCT seemed the natural place to fit in and help the growth of the community here in Lubbesthorpe.
Gemma and her family moved to Lubbesthorpe in June 2020 having watched the community grow from afar. Being part of LCT and other community projects has bought Gemma much joy and she has enjoyed watching the community grow and thrive. Being part of the many different activities which take place - such as Mossy Church - enables her to spend time with others from the estate, share her faith, and build friendships.
Gemma is also our Safeguarding Trustee.
Karen & Karl moved to Lubbesthorpe purposefully in 2023 to join the pioneering Christian work in the new neighbourhood. Karl is an accredited baptist minister. Karen as a qualified teacher has taken initiative in local schools over many years. With their extensive background in community ministries, they are now self-funded residents and serve as Pioneer Community Ministers. Here in Lubbesthorpe they operate an 'open house': to welcome all and come alongside anyone who wishes to explore faith in Jesus.
Karl is also a trustee of Lubbesthorpe Christians Together - serving as Treasurer.
